Love Birds

Here are my favorites. I love to go to estate sales (or garage sales) and find vintage items or just something I like. For example, anything that has birds on it, vintage chairs that I can paint or reupholster, vintage fabrics, and vintage glasses or ceramics, etc. These items pictured were found at one of the estate sales in Pasadena, usually I don't find ones with birds so this is perfect. I love the plate that has a pair of birds! Aren't they so pretty? I think there are supposed to come with a cup, but anyway, this has a beautiful color and is in nice condition. Hunting for my favorite things at estate sale is not always easy but it makes me so happy when I find the exact one that I've been looking for.

Back to 50's

I have always been fascinated with the furniture from the 50’s; what is called ‘Mid Century Modern’. Especially, having the Swan chair or Swan sofa (even better) by Arne Jacobsen in my living room is my dream!! Oh, and Eames LCW chair (I would like to have red or upholstered with pony skin) with the Walnut stools. They are just so stylish! Anyways, Even though I’m not too crazy about mid century style, I can’t stop talking about these designers’ furniture, I just love its sophisticated design, delightful color and there is no too much padding in their design.







I found a mid century furniture shop; “Foothill 5 fifty” near my place recently. They have a ton of vintage Items, from clothes to bikes (old Vespa) and of course furniture as well. You can spend a whole day there easily… at least I can!
